Alexander Sutherland

Alexander Sutherland, class of 1911, was born in Earltown on January 18, 1877 and had a long career in Engineering at Acadia University. He was an Instructor from 1904-1913, a Professor from 1913-1943, and, briefly, Dean of Applied Science until his death in 1943. He was also Mayor of Wolfville from 1922 to 1923.
