Lending policies
The Vaughan Memorial Library at Acadia University lends to libraries in Canada, the United States, and abroad. Loans are three weeks with no renewals. Acadia University is a member of the Atlantic Scholarly Information Network - Document Delivery Group (ASIN-DDG) (formerly the ECRC consortium).
The National Library Code for Acadia is NSWA.
The following types of material are available for interlibrary loan:
- books (except for non-circulating items and books in poor condition)
- conference proceedings
- government documents
- microforms
- theses on microfiche
- ERIC documents on microfiche
- CIHM documents on microfiche
These types of materials are not available for interlibrary loan:
- bound and loose serials
- newspapers
- videos
- films
- CDs
- LPs
- cassettes
- kits
- computer software
- genealogy materials
- rare books
- special collections materials
- maps
- new bookshelf materials
- bound theses (note that bound theses can be copied and loaned through ILL for 25 cents per page; please contact Archives & Special Collections at (902) 585-1771 or archives)
