Dr. Kirkconnell was a
professor, scholar, and the ninth President of Acadia University. The Special Collections reading room is named after Dr. Kirkconnell and houses his private

Harold Campbell Vaughan Harold C. Vaughan was
the son of Mr. Harold S. Vaughan, a
surgeon and professor at Columbia and New York Universities. His father earned
an honorary degree from Acadia in 1948 and through a generous donation years
later, helped build the Vaughan Memorial Library in his son's memory. |

Esther Clark Wright
Dr. Wright, a graduate
of Acadia University, was a renowned author and historian. The Acadia Archives
was renamed the Esther Clark Wright Archives in October 1988 in honour of Dr.
Wright. |
