Harold Campbell Vaughan
Harold C. Vaughan was the son of Mr. Harold S. Vaughan, a surgeon and professor at Columbia and New York Universities. His father earned an honorary degree from Acadia in 1948 and through a generous donation years later, helped build the Vaughan Memorial Library in his son's memory.

Esther Clark Wright
Dr. Wright, a graduate of Acadia University, was a renowned author and historian. The Acadia Archives was renamed the Esther Clark Wright Archives in October 1988 in honour of Dr. Wright.
