Delivery of Physical Materials During Campus Closure

By Mail

When the University campus is closed for a period of more than two weeks, Acadia materials which are normally sent only to distance education students can be sent out to all faculty, staff, and students by mail. This is subject to staff availability and access to the building. Faculty, staff, and students can request Acadia Library items by sending an email to access-circ@acadiau.ca with their ten-digit Acadia ID Number and/or their barcode (fourteen digits) and the item information (title, author and call number).

Contactless Pickup

When the University campus is closed for a period of more than two weeks, arrangements can be made by Acadia faculty, staff and students to pick up Acadia materials. This is subject to staff availability and access to the building. Borrowers can request Acadia Library items by sending an email to access-circ@acadiau.ca with their ten-digit Acadia ID Number and/or their barcode (fourteen digits) and the item information (title, author and call number). A reply will be sent so you know the request has been received. You will be able to pick up your materials on the next business day, Monday to Friday, between 9am and 3pm.

Once on campus you will call 902-585-1249, the main Access Desk. Staff will meet you at the BAC entrance outside the library. Please have your ID with you to show us through the glass door (we my not know you). Step away from the doors. The books will be brought out and placed on a table. Once we are back inside you may step forward and pick up the materials. We suggest bringing your own bag if you are collecting several items.
