Archives & Special Collections
The Esther Clark Wright Archives and the Atlantic Baptist Archives are the repositories for:
- Acadia University, including documentation of the University and its predecessors and affiliated institutions;
- Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada and its predecessors, including administrative records, church records as well as records of ministers and missionaries;
- Annapolis Valley individuals and community, such as those of individuals, families and corporate bodies located in the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia, that document the heritage of this region.
The Archives appraises, acquires, arranges and describes, preserves, and provides access to records of long-term value for faculty, students, and administrators of Acadia University as well as scholarly and general researchers around the world.
The Vaughan Memorial Library's Special Collections at Acadia University has been built up over the past 175+ years by purchase, gift and bequeath. Many of these books are of a rare or unique nature and require special care and handling. Special Collections is comprised of various smaller collections that encompass a wide range of topics, but is particularly rich in 19th century Canadiana, Atlantic Canadian and Baptist history, and Acadia University publications.

Vaughan Memorial Library
The Kirkconnell Room can be reached via elevators; however, we lack automatic doors. Please contact us if you require assistance in accessing the Kirkconnell Room.
There are various parking meters on campus for your parking convenience; please refer to the Campus Map for locations. The meters are $1.50/hr.
Guest/visitor parking permits are also available to those requiring long term parking. These permits can be obtained at the Safety & Security Office, Room 519 of the Students' Union Building. Parking permits are not valid at meters.
