Acadia University Sophomore Class Baseball Team 1908

Sophs Hit the Bases

Baseball teams at Acadia not only competed against each other during the early 1900s, but also against the attractions of track and field competitions. Both track and baseball had to fit into the short time between the end of the snow and mud season and the end of term; baseball sometimes lost out to the more popular track and field. However, baseball games between classes was a feature of the spring sports season. In 1908, the Sophomore team lost only to the Freshmen, who headed the league.
