Women Played Basketball Outside
The girls of the “Sem” were interested in trying new sports. The Seminary column in the November 1908 Athenaeum noted: “We are glad to report the evidence of more interest in Basket-Ball than has hitherto existed. The open court has been, during the remarkably fine weather, in daily requisition.” During the 1908-09 school year, there was no league and the girls played each other and the resident and non-resident women students at Acadia University.
