Outstanding Athletes on Girls’ High School Basketball Team
Coached by Grace Porter and Helen Archibald, Wolfville High’s girls’ 1927 basketball team had a number of athletes who would be active in sport in Wolfville at school, at Acadia University and in the town. Unfortunately, there is little record of the girls’ basketball games in the local paper or elsewhere. Maie deWitt, Ethel Ingraham and Marion Eaton played for the Wolfville Lawn Tennis Club and were decorated athletes at Acadia University.
