Acadia Downs Dal Grads For Title
Although they placed second during the regular season, Acadia defeated the Dal Grads in a two- game total point playoff series to claim the Halifax City League title in 1940. This meant they could claim to be Nova Scotia Senior Champions for the second year in a row. In university play, Acadia defeated the University of New Brunswick and claimed the Maritime Intercollegiate title for the second time in two years.
