Frosh Embarrass Juniors
The freshman class had a number of talented basketball players during the 1926-27 academic year. They were champions of the interclass basketball league, going the entire season without a loss. “The Freshmen have a fast, accurate shooting team and were favored from the first to win,” overwhelming the Juniors 98 to 13, the other classes by comfortable margins. Four members of the team– Matthews, Goudey, Dougan and McKenzie– played varsity basketball as freshmen.
