Acadia Ties Canning
In the opening game of the season against Canning, “Boggs, at Point, [played] a phenomenal game even for him,” in a losing effort, “the first defeat...in several years...” After defeating the Halifax Wanderers, the team lost in Yarmouth. After each game, win or lose, the visiting team was treated to supper by the home team. Acadia finished the 1902 season surprising “her warmest admirers by putting up a remarkable game of Hockey and playing Canning (one of the best teams in the province) to a standstill.”
