Horton Hearts Happy

The Horton Hockey team of 1906 played other collegiates as well as in the Acadia interclass league. In February 1906, they defeated Windsor Collegiate 13 to 9 and as the Athenaeum noted: β€œThe game was witnessed by quite a large number of spectators, among whom were the young ladies of the Seminary....” The Horton Academy column in the April 1906 Athenaeum claimed: β€œ...the hearts of the Academy students have again been made happy. This time it is by the unbroken list of victories won by our hockey team....The winning of [the game against the Freshmen] gave the League to the Academy which naturally made us very happy....”
