Boggs Boys Lead Team to Victory
Players on the 1903 rugby team included: Estey, A. deWitt, T. Boggs, A. Boggs, Howe, Bowes, Charlton, Bates, Wheelock, Flick, Emerson, Cunningham, Putnam, Webster, and Denton. After a convincing 11 to 0 win over the Halifax YMCA to begin their season, Acadia lost to Dalhousie University (NS) 7 to 0, beat a Truro, Nova Scotia, town team and then drew with the University of New Brunswick, Mt Allison University (NB) and Truro. “The foot-ball team of ‘03-‘04 was a good one and it did excellent work....The presence of the Boggs boys in their old places on the half line did much to make the team a strong one.”
