Acadia Captures Maritime Junior Title

Writing about a game the Acadia second, or junior varsity, team played against the Dalhousie University (NS) second team, the December 1920 Athenaeum claimed: “Contrary to the assertion of the Halifax Herald, we must state that Acadia’s scrim had a decided advantage while the back division showed better combination and initiative than their opponents.” Despite the negative opinions of the Halifax newspaper, Acadia’s second team became the Maritime Junior Intercollegiate Champions in 1920.
