Acadia Takes 7 Firsts–Sinks Dal

Although best known as a basketball coach and Director of Athletics at Acadia University, Terry Osborne was also a successful swim coach. During a 22 March meet held at the Acadia pool, the home team defeated Dalhousie University (NS) 61 to 18. As reported in the local paper, Acadia captured “seven first places out of nine events in the first intercollegiate meet ever held between Acadia and Dal.” John Young of Acadia led all scorers with 15 points while Cann had 12 points. Acadia’s 160 yard relay team set a new pool record.
