Men Make Big Splash

While not one of the major sports at Acadia, swimming became increasingly popular during the 1920s. “Swimming, as a sport at Acadia, was introduced in 1920 with the opening of the Memorial Gymnasium. Acadia has the finest swimming pool east of Montreal, the envy of all visiting teams. Swimming consequently receives a great deal of attention, and it is no wonder that there are swimmers here such as Longley and Graham...who can defeat Maritime champions.”
