Acadia Bounces Mt A

“A most successful year has been experienced by the tennis team....One home tournament was played with Mt A, which featured brilliant tennis. For the first time sixteen events were played and most went to extra sets. Maie deWitt’s playing, in defeating Betty Stoddart, a ranking New Brunswick player, was excellent....Acadia won the tournament 9-7.” Many of the members of the Acadia team were also active in the Wolfville tennis club. Marion Eaton, Gertrude Phinney, Ethel Ingraham and Maie deWitt all played for Wolfville in provincial tournaments.
