Acadia Juniors Top Horton
The Class of 1911, as Juniors, won the interclass track and field competition held on 31 May 1910– the second year they had won. Their stiffest competition was from the Horton Collegiate Academy team. The wet track, which meant slow times for foot races did not affect the field events which “were of a high order...Porter won the broad in a pretty jump of 20.7 and tied with Goss, HCA in the high jump. Fitch in the shot fell only two inches short of the Acadia record.”
