Letters, poetry, photographs, artifacts and other materials stored in the Acadia Archives can play an important role in writing the rich and vivid history of the University's past. The buildings that have housed the Acadia University Libraries each have a story to tell.
Although documents and sources exist to chronicle the changes that the Acadia Library has seen over the past one hundred and fifty years, these sources are fragmented. The Acadia Libraries Through the Years project aims to compile, document, and digitize information reflecting over one hundred and fifty years of change.
The first phase began in June 2005 to research, organize and document key resources for information. The second phase of the project will be to digitize and preserve sources and enhance the Library History portal to make sources accessible to researchers and historians.
